Meet the Crew:
Joseph (Joe) Statz
Designer, preeminent model builder, master carpenter and steady hand on the job site, unflappable. His last name has become a verb in III AD parlance which means “to sneak up on the truth or to finesse a detail to within an inch of its life.”
Joe is also a father of five lovely children, a devoted husband and family man.
Daniel (Dan or Dano) Koplin
Sculptor, visionary artist, journeyman carpenter and the emotional heart of the crew, flappable. Dan builds the most amazing art/machine/sculptures, fabricating nearly every part from scratch and typically capturing a shrewd worldly observation in the process. He is also the ‘setter of the radio dial’ on the job-site.
Louis Aristide (Tido) Rabi Sanfo
Metals sculptor and artist, apprentice carpenter, and native of Burkina Faso. (look it up, you need to brush up on your geography) Brings a little sun to the site every day, and he’s learning that being the low guy on the pole means also climbing to the top of the ladder.
Joe (Joe) Craig
Carpentry tech school student, apprentice carpenter and woodsman, fisherman, and hunter. Classic Minnesotan, native of Lake Wobegon. Easy going and steady on the job-site, and there’s a dog story every day. Dog owner, or rather, owned by a dog named Cash.
Jeanne Marquardt
Studio manager, controller, numbers person, den mother and the wheel upon which our world spins. If Jono (below) has too much sail, Jeanne’s the ballast, rudder and lookout who keeps the boat off the reef. Jeanne is a dedicated, loving mother of two, and Joe Craig’s second Mom, as her oldest son Jesse and he are ‘best buds’. What do you mean nepotism? Everyone here is family.
Jonathan (Jono) Query
Designer, builder, fond of the edge, reefs, and ready to sail in any weather. Dedicated to the III AD family and all their kin and ilk.
